General information traveling around Cambodia
Once you have explored the Cambodian underwater world with us there are other exciting destinations to discover around Cambodia.
You can relax on the beaches of Sihanoukville or visit Kampot and look at the French Colonial buildings and have some great seafood in Kep; visit Siem Reap with the amazing temple complex Angkor Wat; Phnom Penh with its vibrant night life, the Royal Palace, the National Museum, the notorious prison S21, the Killing Fields and the many markets where you can buy souvenirs for your friends and family or go to the shooting range to fire some real machine guns.
There are many provincial towns that are also worth visiting: Kratie, Battambang, Ratanakiri and many more. A good source to look at is the Canby travel guides which will give you some good information about the regions and how to get there.
By Air
Cambodia Angkor Air Operate between Sihanoukville, Siem Reap and Phnom Penh
By road
Private taxis are available from any town/city to the next at negotiable prices. They are often available at a daily rate to drive around bigger cities and either your guest house can arrange this or they are usually found next to the markets of any town. Around towns you can choose to travel by moto-dup or tuk-tuk and again, negotiate hard. Don’t pay until you get to your destination. You can choose to rent a motorbike yourself but this is not advisable unless you are very familiar with both riding a bike and driving styles in S-E Asia.
Here are some bus companies that you can use to travel within Cambodia

By Boat
You can get ferries between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap and also Siem Reap – Battambang. There are also boats offering trips to the islands off Sihanoukville. Be very careful about over-crowding on these island ferries.
