Scuba Nation is located on Sothearos Blvd – the same road as the Royal Palace, near Wat Ounalom. You will have to take a motorcycle taxi (moto-dup), tuk-tuk (motorcycle with trailer) or taxi to get around town. There are now some metered taxis – there are small call-up services and your guest house or travel agent can always arrange a car for the day for you.
The international airport is situated about 30mins outside the city. On arrival, taxis and motorcycle taxis (moto-dups) can be hired just outside the arrival lobby. There are no metered taxis. Taxis cost $12 for the trip into the city centre, tuk-tuks about $9.
Most of the buses and shared taxis stop at the Central Market (Psar Tmei) in the centre of town, although some also have offices on the riverside. Private taxis should take you directly to where you want to go. From the market or riverside, you will have to get a moto-dup or tuk-tuk to the Dive Centre and prices here are often higher than ordinary rates.
Scuba Nation is located on Serendipity Beach Road opposite Holiday Villa Nataya. You will have to take a motorcycle taxi (moto-dup) or tuk-tuk to get around town. The moto-dups and tuk-tuks in Sihanoukville can be quite aggressive – be aware that they will often only take you to guest houses that pay them commission, rather than taking you where you want to go (this applies to the Dive Centres too!). Try to make sure you know where you’re going and don’t believe them if they say that the guest house or Dive Centre you want is full or doesn’t exist. Tuk-tuk prices from the bus stations are higher than normal prices.
The international airport is situated about 30mins outside the city. On arrival, you can buy a $6 ticket for the mini-bus shuttle into town. They should drop you directly where you want to go. There are no metered taxis.
Bus to Sihanoukville
Bus passengers are let off either at the bus station slightly out of town or at selected drop places near the center of town. It depends where you are dropped, but to get to Serendipity beach, you will probably need to take a moto-dup or tuk-tuk. Tuk-tuks from the bus station are around $5 to Serendipity beach. If you are dropped close to the Golden Lions roundabout, our office is a 2 minute walk from there.
