PADI awards Scuba Nation as the only PADI National Geographic Dive Centre in Cambodia. Thursday, May 01, 2008
Scuba Nation is very proud to announce that PADI awarded our dive centre as; the only PADI National Geographic Dive Centre in Cambodia.

PADI recognizes our business as a progressive dive operation that offers the best customer service, education, equipment and dive experiences. PADI told us that our commitment to advancing a premium-level of adventure and environmental awareness in our education programs is exciting and commendable. We are cultivating an elite class of people who understand the importance and the impact they have on the ocean realm and what they can do to preserve it for future generations. In essence, we are creating ambassadors for the underwater world.

We are very pleased to receive this prestiges award for all the hard work we have done since we opened our dive centre in 2002.
And we are happy that Cambodia is finally becoming a destination for divers.

We would like to thank everybody who has dived with us in the past and we welcome all new divers to our dive centre to come and enjoy the best diving experience in Cambodia.

Thank you very much

Best regards

Gerard & Vicky
Koh Tang Khmer New Year Tuesday, April 15, 2008
On the 13th April we went to Koh Tang for our traditional Khmer New Year overnight trip.
A big welcome back to Hiko and Takeshi our regulars who are always a pleasure to dive with, and our own  PADI Divemaster Mike.  Sorry rest of the world you can now only get "The Mike" experience with Scuba Nation Cambodia.
We set off at 7.30 and after the boat briefing, breakfast was served, we did our first dive at Cobia point on Koh Rong Samloem, we dived in 4 groups off our two boats.
Our group started the dive a little bit differently  and we discovered a whole new part at Cobia, which we had not dived before.Very nice hard and soft corals and many Nudibranches, the vis was between 7 to 10 mtr, it was a great dive.
After an hour we surfaced and got back on the boat and had lunch as we headed to Koh Tang.
Our second dive was at The Steps and the vis was 15mtr. The Steps is a great dive site and suitable for everybody from snorkeller to experienced diver. Very nice boulder corals and lots of reef fish.
The night dive was at Beedy Eye Bay where you will have to look for all the weird stuff which is there. We saw big Blue spotted Sting rays, Toad fish, many shrimps and Moray Eels.

After a good night of sleep we did our early morning dive at Giraffe, and the vis was 25+  and two massive Cobia,s at the start off our drift dive.
Our last dive was on Explosion reef and it is always a pleasure to see the looks on divers faces when they arrive on the reef.
Explosion is a very big spread out reef build up with table and stack corals, boulder corals with Christmas Tree worms with different colours and fish every where, I had divers saying to me before that this reef is better then the great barrier reef.

Scuba Nation would like to thank all the people who where on the trip for a great time and we will see you all back soon.
